How To Customize A Summer Top

I found this great little summer top at Marshall's a month or so ago for $12.99 and couldn't pass it up  even though the hole for the neck was a little tight and it was a little high under the arm.
Having some sewing skills, I knew I could fix it, but you know how things go...


After wearing this top several times, I finally stopped procrastinating and fixed the top.
It was super simple and it was finished before an episode of  Income Property on HGTV was over.

I just cut the existing strap off, leaving a 1/2". Then sewed a satin ribbon to it.

So much better and a lot more comfortable!

Oh so cute! I remember when they used to make a lot of tops similar to that with ribbons. I love that style! It's such a pretty top. Great job!
